About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and mentor a team of engineers
- Review junior consultants’ work for accurate, high-quality, and timely deliverables
- Communicate project budgets and scope to clients and ensure adherence
- Drive timely delivery of project milestones
- Coordinate client site visits and project deliverables
- Produce reports synthesizing onsite inspection data, environmental factors, material properties, and engineering analysis to determine causes and scope of building distress and failures
- Conduct site visits and collect field data from residential and commercial properties
- Review and interpret relevant building codes
- Assist with business development by attending conferences, events, dinners, and lunches
- Perform additional assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Active PE license
- 15+ years of forensic engineering experience
- Proven ability to write comprehensive technical reports on inspection results
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
- Established client network and strong track record of building rapport and maintaining lasting client relationships
