About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate and manage construction schedules for various projects
- Participate in all phases of the construction planning and scheduling process, including schedule development and ongoing updates
- Conduct forensic analysis of project schedules, contemporaneous documentation, and construction costs
- Perform inspections of construction project sites and evaluate project progress
- Review and organize large amounts of construction project documents and data
- Perform schedule delay analysis to establish the cause and extent of delays and resolve construction delay claims
- Evaluate construction productivity and progress data, extended general conditions, and expediting expenses
- Assess the impact of project changes and schedule delays and communicate findings
- Monitor and manage timelines, expenses, and other factors affecting operational efficiency and cost management during construction
- Review and synthesize information to prepare technical project reports
- Maintain job files, documentation, and other relevant deliverables
- Interface regularly with department employees, contractors, and clients
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or equivalent field
- Minimum of 2 years in a professional work environment
- Experience using critical path method (CPM) techniques to analyze construction project schedules
- Previous experience or exposure to builder’s risk insurance policies, construction claims management, and managing contractors
- Ability to travel as needed to project sites and client offices (approx. 25-35%)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team towards a common purpose
- Strong communications skills, with the ability to interface with various stakeholders and clients
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Oracle Primavera 6, and ASTA Powerproject
