About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate distress to existing buildings, structures, and building envelopes
- Lead projects and serve as the primary point of contact
- Coordinate site visits, resources, and timelines
- Conduct site visits and testing across residential, commercial, and industrial properties
- Perform lab examinations to collect data
- Produce reports combining inspection, testing, and analysis data to identify root cause and recommend repair or replacement
- Support regional growth through recruiting and business development
- Build and maintain client relationships while generating new work
- Partner with business development on conferences and client outreach
- Review and interpret relevant building codes
- Oversee development of repair or replacement design scope
- Make independent decisions about analysis and testing methods and resource allocation
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Active PE license
- 10+ years of forensic engineering experience
- Proven ability to write comprehensive technical reports on inspection results
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
