About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the SAP TM solution for assigned rollout waves
Run fit-to-standard sessions with the business
Assess local transport practices, carriers, legal and document needs against the global design
Design solutions while preserving the global template standard
Carry the design through build, testing, cutover and early post-go-live support
Design TM processes on S/4HANA, including freight planning, carrier selection and tendering, freight order execution, charge calculation and freight settlement
Integrate TM across the S/4HANA logistics chain, including sales orders and deliveries, purchasing flows, warehouse execution and freight costs through finance
Manage carrier connectivity, EDI or business-network onboarding, tracking and carrier status messages
Produce functional specifications for the build team with integration, development and test leads
Plan testing and resolve defects through integration and user acceptance testing
Lead cutover, hypercare and handover to support for each rollout wave
Feed lessons from each wave back into the global template

Requirements

What you’ll need

8 or more years in SAP logistics, with SAP TM on S/4HANA as a core part of it
At least one TM rollout or global template programme for a manufacturing business
Personally performed fit-gap and solution design, not only configuration
Working knowledge of TM integrations with SD, MM, EWM and FI/CO
Experience running business-user workshops and translating requirements into designs and specifications
Comfort working remotely across countries in a multi-company programme team
SAP Business Network for Logistics or a carrier visibility platform is useful but not essential
Experience with both embedded and side-by-side TM deployments is useful but not essential
Automotive, industrial or process manufacturing experience is useful but not essential
Multimodal, international or dangerous goods transport experience is useful but not essential
SAP TM certification is useful but not essential
English language required
Consultants must be based in Spain
