About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Select, integrate, and maintain security tooling in cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines
  • Design, implement, and enforce automated security guardrails and policies across the cloud estate and CI/CD pipeline
  • Harden and secure the GCP environment, including IAM policies, network security, and resource configuration management
  • Translate compliance requirements into automated, verifiable infrastructure and deployment practices
  • Automate and manage vulnerability and patch management from identification and triage through remediation with engineering teams
  • Build and maintain secure “golden path” service-deployment templates for feature teams
  • Contribute expertise to the security incident response team and help manage and resolve security events
  • Integrate security into every phase of the software development lifecycle for a highly available, multi-tenant platform

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Deep, practical experience designing, managing, and securing high-availability infrastructure within GCP
  • Proficiency in reviewing API security, providing secure API patterns, and upskilling engineers
  • Expert knowledge of deploying, operating, and hardening Kubernetes (GKE) clusters, including network policies, container runtime security, and secrets management
  • Solid skills writing, securing, and testing infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or OpenTofu
  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing security tools such as Aqua Security, Falco, Prisma Cloud, or similar CSPM/CWPP/CNAPP solutions
  • Proficiency in Python, Golang, or Shell for security automation and workflow tooling
  • Proven ability to build secure, repeatable, robust CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI or GitHub Actions, with mandatory security checks
  • Experience with FinTech-related certifications, standards, or frameworks such as SOC2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, or DORA is desirable
  • Relevant certifications such as Google Cloud Professional Security Engineer, CKS, or CISSP are desirable
