About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead assigned projects through their entire life cycle from conception to completion
- Provide documentation and control cost, schedule, scope, and shareholder requirements
- Develop and adhere to budgets for all project phases
- Identify project stakeholders and determine their involvement based on project scope and complexity
- Track key project milestones and engineering and construction deliverables
- Follow up and reforecast project schedules as required
- Communicate with stakeholders and update the project team about timeline or requirement changes
- Determine and document clear project scopes
- Identify and evaluate energy efficiency opportunities in projects
- Manage project documentation throughout the project life cycle
- Present projects at each decision gate for technical steering committee approval
- Ensure project deliverables meet project requirements and site standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent training and industrial experience
- Project Management Professional Designation is considered an asset
- Professional Engineering Designation with APEGS is considered an asset
- 5+ years of project management, engineering, design and execution experience in an industrial setting
- Ability to work in a team environment and to coordinate resources from multiple groups
- Ability to use standard software packages for scheduling and tracking as well as reporting
- Working understanding of the Project Management Body of Knowledge
