About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and maintain embedded software for Linux BIOS and embedded Linux platforms
Design, implement, and optimize software components using C/C++
Develop new features and resolve software defects, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities
Implement and maintain multithreaded applications and inter-process communication mechanisms
Work with Linux kernel and driver components to support system functionality and hardware integration
Support the build, customization, and maintenance of embedded Linux distributions such as Yocto and Buildroot
Support Secure Boot, Secure Update, and vulnerability remediation activities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams during design, development, testing, and release phases
Maintain source code and development artifacts using Git version control

Requirements

What you’ll need

6-10 years of experience in embedded software development on Linux-based platforms
Strong programming skills in C/C++
Embedded Linux software development experience
Linux BIOS development and maintenance experience
Knowledge of multithreading and inter-process communication (IPC)
Linux kernel and driver fundamentals
Experience with Yocto and Buildroot
Software debugging and performance optimization skills
Git version control
Secure software development practices
Strong understanding of Linux architecture, system programming, and embedded device integration
Familiarity with Secure Boot, Secure Update, and vulnerability remediation
Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of Rust programming language is an added advantage
Exposure to Modbus, BACnet, MQTT, or similar industrial communication protocols is desirable
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field is preferred
