About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop backend applications using Python
Build scalable and maintainable applications
Design, develop, and deploy microservices-based architectures
Test and automate REST APIs using Insomnia and JMeter
Apply DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and operations
Deploy and orchestrate applications using Kubernetes and Docker
Investigate, analyse, and resolve complex technical issues, addressing root causes
Foster and maintain internal, client, and third-party relationships
Keep abreast of developments in relevant technologies and apply new technologies
Work independently or collaboratively as part of a team

Requirements

What you’ll need

7–10 years of related work experience
7+ years of backend development experience with Python
Strong experience in Python, focusing on scalable and maintainable applications
Hands-on experience or familiarity with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, and pytest
Hands-on experience with REST API testing and automation using Insomnia and JMeter
In-depth knowledge of designing, developing, and deploying microservices-based architectures
Good understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment/operations automation tools
Ability to investigate, analyse, and resolve complex technical issues
Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform: GCP, Azure, or AWS
Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
Good written and oral communication skills
Good team player
Clean Code approach
Ability to work under pressure and independently or as part of a team
Excellent interpersonal and listening skills
