About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise applications built on Java technologies
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development and support teams
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, security, and best practices
Drive root cause analysis and resolution of complex production issues
Participate in architecture discussions and recommend scalable solutions
Manage production support activities and ensure adherence to agreed SLAs and KPIs
Lead incident, problem, and change management activities
Coordinate issue triage, prioritization, escalation, and resolution with cross-functional teams
Drive continuous service improvements and automation initiatives
Prepare service reports, operational metrics, and executive status updates
Act as the primary point of contact for customer and business stakeholders
Facilitate requirement discussions, technical reviews, and governance meetings
Manage team deliverables, resource planning, and workload distribution
Ensure effective communication between business, development, testing, and support teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

7 to 10 years of experience
Strong hands-on experience in Core Java, Java 8+, Collections, Multithreading, and JVM concepts
Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Microservices Architecture
Experience with RESTful APIs, web services, and integration frameworks
Strong knowledge of SQL, database design, and performance tuning using Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
Experience with Kafka, MQ, or event-driven architectures
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, Maven, and SonarQube
Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes
Strong debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills
Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and service management processes
Experience with incident, problem, change, and service request management; major incident handling; SLA and KPI management
ITIL Foundation Certification is preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management capabilities
Ability to lead technical discussions with business and executive stakeholders
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience leading distributed/global teams
