About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance Snowflake data platforms
Architect and implement Medallion Architecture with Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers
Design and maintain enterprise Data Vault 2.0 models, including Hubs, Links, Satellites, and Business Vault components
Define data standards, modelling guidelines, and governance frameworks
Design and develop Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, views, tasks, streams, and stored procedures
Optimize Snowflake workloads for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
Configure role-based access control, masking policies, and data governance controls
Build, test, and maintain database pipeline architectures
Collaborate with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, management, and cross-functional teams
Lead technical design sessions, solution reviews, and production support activities
Translate business and functional requirements into technical specifications for Big Data solutions
Lead a team or contribute individually to deliver expected business results
Use Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, and other AI-assisted engineering platforms to improve development efficiency
Automate repetitive tasks including code generation, documentation, testing, data quality checks, and operational support
Deliver customer requirements and business needs while ensuring compliance with organizational data standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

7-10 years of experience
Minimum 5+ years of experience in Snowflake
Strong working experience designing and developing Snowflake data platforms
Experience with Medallion architecture and data modelling
Ability to develop reusable components and stored procedures
Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure
Strong knowledge of scalable ETL pipelines
Experience with data quality measurement and data profiling
Knowledge of current organizational data standards and compliance
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience leading a team or working as an individual contributor
Experience building, testing, and maintaining database pipeline architectures
Experience translating business and functional requirements into technical specifications
Experience designing and implementing Data Vault 2.0 models
Experience with Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, views, tasks, streams, and stored procedures
Experience with Snowflake performance, scalability, and cost optimization
Experience configuring RBAC, masking policies, and data governance controls
Experience building ETL pipelines, data quality frameworks, job orchestrations, and job monitoring techniques
Python knowledge is preferable
Good communication and presentation skills
Snowflake certification is listed as mandatory, but no specific certification is named
