About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the technical roadmap for core payment processing infrastructure, including rails, ledger, settlement engine, and currency conversion
Own execution of the organization’s virtual accounts strategy
Partner with the Payment Experience PM to translate infrastructure capabilities into customer-facing features
Evaluate and prioritize banking, liquidity, and Stablecoin rail integrations
Define infrastructure investment priorities for scalability
Own ledger and transaction processing systems that record and reconcile payments
Own settlement logic across banking partners, liquidity providers, and Stablecoin rails including USDC, USDT, and PYUSD
Own multi-currency conversion and routing logic, including optimal rail selection per transaction
Own Virtual IBAN infrastructure and other virtual account capabilities
Partner with engineering on architecture decisions involving consistency, idempotency, failure handling, and reconciliation
Work with Treasury on liquidity requirements, funding models, and corridor coverage
Work with Compliance to integrate regulatory and licensing requirements into infrastructure across markets
Manage onboarding roadmap for banking and liquidity partners
Define and track infrastructure health metrics, including transaction success rate, settlement time, uptime, reconciliation accuracy, error rates, and incident frequency/severity
Partner with engineering on capacity planning and incident response
Identify and prioritize technical debt affecting reliability or scale
Document infrastructure capabilities and constraints for Product, Engineering, and GTM teams
Maintain an internal knowledge base of rail coverage, corridor-specific details, and partner integrations
Act as the technical resource for payments infrastructure capabilities and constraints

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of Product experience
At least 3 years working on payments infrastructure, rails, ledgers, or core banking/transaction systems in fintech or crypto
Strong technical fluency, including APIs, distributed systems, and data consistency trade-offs
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Product, or a related field
Fluency in English, both written and verbal
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and across different time zones
Ability to meet deadlines and deliver results under pressure
Experience with Stablecoin or crypto settlement rails is a plus
Experience with banking partner integrations, correspondent banking, or cross-border payment rails is a plus
