About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and architect robust, high-uptime, maintenance-friendly solutions in a manufacturing environment
Manage, monitor, and optimize on-premises and cloud-based systems
Ensure server and network environments meet service-level and business continuity requirements
Support documentation for new and existing solutions and processes
Cross-train team members to shift responsibilities to Tier 2 and Tier 1 teammates
Administer servers, routers, switches, firewalls, software deployment, security updates, and patches
Design, deploy, and support LANs, WANs, network segments, and VPN gateways
Assign network addresses and configure routing protocols and routing tables
Assist the cybersecurity team with monitoring and maintaining network and system security
Provide Tier 3 support for manufacturing production systems
Design and implement remote monitoring and endpoint management capabilities
Configure authentication and authorization for directory services
Stay current on technology trends and emerging solutions
Recommend future process and technology upgrades

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in the computer information field required, and 5+ years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certifications and experience may also be considered
AWS Cloud administration, solution architecture and design, and cost optimization (3–5 years’ experience)
Working skill level of networking, switches, VOIP, WAN/LAN, servers, Wi-Fi, and VPN
Experience in the setup and support of enterprise-level networks
Experience with firewall/SASE solutions
Experience managing solutions in manufacturing environments with high-uptime requirements
Experience implementing cybersecurity controls in coordination with the cybersecurity team
Current knowledge of emerging cybersecurity trends and challenges
Experience with device imaging, setup, and configuration
Experience with Microsoft Identity Management and Governance (Entra/Azure Identity Governance) or similar IMG/IGA platforms
Meraki experience preferred
Fortinet experience preferred
Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds
Willingness to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Employment conditioned upon successfully completing a criminal background check and a negative drug test
Travel required less than 10%
