About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create weekly and monthly statistical forecast reports
Recommend adjustments to forecasts and inventory targets based on changes in demand and market trends
Use statistical models and software tools to create forecasts and inventory targets
Manage inventory targets, including safety stock levels, approved by management
Prepare, report, and communicate forecast and inventory measurements to management
Continuously improve forecasting techniques, methods, and approaches
Assemble and analyze historical sales, market trends, and seasonality data for sales forecasting
Relate and measure the impact of forecast accuracy
Schedule and coordinate product shipments to warehouses in the USA and offshore
Comply with YKK's Compliance Program, including Environmental, Quality, Health & Safety, and Confidential Information Management Guidelines
Perform other position-related duties as assigned
Work without direct supervisory responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Business Administration or Operation Management; or 4 to 8 years of related experience in master scheduling, forecasting and planning and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Extensive spreadsheet analysis and strong mathematical abilities
Experience with DRP/MRP functionality
APICS CPIM or CSCP highly desired
Minimal overnight and local travel as needed
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Must wear appropriate safety protective equipment at the proper times and in the proper environments as required by safety program rules
