About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide specialized consulting services to identify and focus on operational improvement strategies for YMCAs
  • Facilitate projects with Service Partners, Alliance Partners, Y-USA staff, and local YMCAs
  • Develop and execute operational improvement or support plans for local YMCAs
  • Provide education and consulting on strategic collaborations with Alliances
  • Facilitate and mediate resolutions to service area disputes
  • Provide education and consulting on new YMCA corporate and branch development
  • Provide education and consulting on training and recruitment of interim CEO candidates
  • Maintain a proprietary database of subject-specific resources, best practices, and information via Y Profile and LINK
  • Monitor developments and apply advanced knowledge and tools to serve Network Partners
  • Act as primary point of contact for an assigned topic area of Y-USA’s knowledge platform
  • Develop engagement plans, review and moderate the community, develop local moderator skills, analyze reports and analytics, and oversee content curation and creation
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher required in a relevant field such as Business, or related disciplines
  • 8–12 years of experience required
  • Expert functional skills
  • Advanced industry knowledge and experience
  • Advanced managerial skills
  • Experience managing multiple teams or functions
  • Strategic and operational decision-making authority
  • Ability to handle highly complex tasks and managerial tasks
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
