About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Mentor and support the backend and frontend development teams
  • Develop and improve maintainable, high-quality code
  • Collaborate on the scope and design of new features and technical solutions
  • Improve and fix existing systems
  • Map non-functional requirements and define and implement architectural standards
  • Design and build cloud-based, serverless, and containerized solutions
  • Maintain and enhance solutions in production
  • Manage technology improvements, development, deployment, maintenance, and support, focusing on quality, costs, timelines, and business value
  • Participate in meetings with the broader group and Technology team to define solutions, tools, integrations, revenue generation, and customer acquisition initiatives
  • Implement customizable events in accordance with Web Analytics best practices on Yooga’s website and app
  • Perform other duties related to the role

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Knowledge of markup languages such as HTML and XML, and styling languages such as CSS and SASS/LESS
  • Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Experience with frontend frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular, and Vue.js
  • Knowledge of Git
  • Familiarity with Scrum and Kanban
  • Knowledge of responsive design and accessibility
  • Experience with frontend unit and integration testing
  • Knowledge of backend development with Node.js and/or Java
  • Experience building SaaS software (a plus)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills (a plus)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously (a plus)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment (a plus)
  • Strong critical-thinking skills (a plus)
