About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop a yearly personal growth plan and lead teams and individuals in spiritual development
- Partner with the Regional Director and Committee to cast area vision
- Recruit, train, supervise, develop, and evaluate staff and volunteer leaders
- Provide quality summer staff, work crew, and adult guests for summer camps
- Lead the TDS team and committee in developing ministry partners
- Develop and lead fundraising strategies and maintain donor communications
- Raise funds to support the local ministry vision and maintain a cash reserve
- Build the Young Life brand through public relations
- Coordinate and conduct fundraising and ministry events
- Engage in contact work, club, Campaigners, and camp ministry
- Lead or co-lead a Young Life club and supervise Campaigner ministry
- Evaluate local schools and ministries annually
- Develop camping opportunities for Gospel proclamation
- Serve on a summer assignment annually
- Manage finances, area records, communications, strategic plans, and assigned projects
- Supervise 1 to 3 clubs and/or ministries and 0 to 25 volunteers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Requires 1+ year of related ministry experience
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams
- Proven leadership skills
- Proven relational skills with both kids and adults
- A call to reach kids with the Gospel
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must complete Core Training - Phase One within 36 months of hire date
- College degree preferred
- Must profess a belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord
- Must subscribe to the Young Life Statement of Faith and required staff policies
- Must be able to handle camp conditions including heat/cold, dirt, long hours, hiking, horseback riding, and boating
