About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Participate in effective Young Life ministry through training and direct field ministry experience
Develop a yearly personal growth plan and actively participate in spiritual development
Maintain relationships and disciplines through active participation in a church community
Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development
Meet regularly with volunteer leaders and area leadership
Recruit and train new leaders and build a leadership team
Model excellence in contact work, club, Campaigners and camping
Assist in training leaders, team leaders and committee members
Develop yearly ministry strategies
Raise financial support and maintain donor care practices
Communicate ministry updates and progress to personal donor partners
Network and develop strategic relationships with key adults in the community
Assist with camp fundraisers
Engage in contact work, club, Campaigners and camp
Lead teams in planning and conducting Young Life club and Campaigners/discipleship ministry
Lead teams in implementing summer and school-season camping strategies
Serve on a summer assignment at a Young Life camp each year
Adhere to Young Life policies and procedures
Manage finances using mission-wide applications
Maintain accurate information on kids, leaders and donors
Provide clear, prompt, appropriate and professional communication
Set and review yearly strategic ministry plans and initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned and congruent with gifts, experience and area needs

Requirements

What you’ll need

College degree
Proven relational skills with both kids and adults
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Young Life requires all employees to sign a Statement of Faith
Must profess a belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord
Must subscribe to statements and policies required of all Young Life staff, including the Young Life Statement of Faith
Must be ready, willing and able to fulfill ministry functions as required
Must refrain from conduct and statements that detract from biblical standards taught and supported by Young Life
Must abide by all Young Life policies and practices, including those related to religious belief or ministry activities
