About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop a yearly personal spiritual growth plan
- Participate actively in church and Young Life community spiritual life
- Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development
- Meet regularly with volunteer leaders and area leadership
- Recruit, train, build, supervise, and provide vision for volunteer leaders
- Model excellence in contact work, club, Campaigners, and camping
- Assist with leader, team leader, and committee training
- Raise financial support and maintain donor care practices
- Communicate ministry updates to donor partners
- Develop strategic community relationships with principals, pastors, parents, and potential committee members
- Assist with camp fundraisers
- Engage in contact work and lead Young Life club and Campaigners/discipleship ministries
- Lead summer and school-season camping strategies
- Serve on a summer assignment at a Young Life camp each year
- Manage finances using mission-wide applications
- Maintain accurate records on kids, leaders, and donors
- Provide clear, prompt, professional communication
- Set and review yearly strategic ministry plans and initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Lead the team for Lincoln Southwest High School using strategic school relationships to advance ministry
Requirements
What you’ll need- College degree preferred
- Proven relational skills with both kids and adults
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must be a current LPS employee and YL volunteer
- Must profess a belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord
- Must subscribe to the Young Life Statement of Faith and required staff statements and policies
- Must adhere to Young Life policies and practices, including those related to religious belief or ministry activities
- Must live locally
- Position may include nights/evenings and summer camp trips
