About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and review the architecture of the analytical Lakehouse environment, including the layer model and object materialization strategies
  • Define modeling, versioning, and implementation standards for the entire squad
  • Lead the assessment and definition of object orchestration and versioning standards
  • Implement engineering and DataOps processes, including Git version control, deployment tracking, pre-deployment backups, and deterministic rollback
  • Define the architecture for unstructured data solutions, including proof-of-concept development and evaluation of approaches
  • Perform the technical approval of delivered objects, ensuring compliance with the architecture and versioning standards
  • Serve as the technical interface with business teams and client leadership
  • Work directly on the most technically complex initiatives, supporting the squad’s engineering capabilities
  • Lead training and knowledge transfer for the client’s internal team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Proven experience in data architecture and analytical Lakehouse environments
  • Proficiency in Snowflake (RBAC, Time Travel, and Zero-Copy Clone) or Databricks (Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, table versioning, and clones)
  • Hands-on experience with DataOps and analytical object versioning, including Git, controlled promotion across environments, and tested rollback procedures
  • Experience with dimensional modeling applied to analytical layers and data products
  • Knowledge of data governance, including technical documentation, metadata, lineage, and periodic access reviews
  • Knowledge of Brazil’s LGPD as applied to analytical environments
  • Ability to move between architectural decisions and technical execution
  • Mature communication skills and the ability to work with business teams and executive leadership
  • Hands-on, strategic, proactive, collaborative, and results-oriented profile
  • Preferred: experience with the Snowflake and Databricks platforms, with the ability to evaluate architectural and cost trade-offs
  • Preferred: experience with Snowflake Cortex and Databricks Mosaic AI
  • Preferred: experience decommissioning and migrating legacy environments
  • Preferred: experience providing training and knowledge transfer to internal teams
  • Preferred: knowledge of Python applied to data pipelines and automation
