About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Coordinate releases from multiple project streams into production across global regions
Own the master release calendar and go/no-go reviews
Establish and run the Change Advisory Board (CAB)
Ensure every production change has an approved ticket, test evidence, and proper sign-off
Manage the release path through pre-prod and UAT
Resolve environment conflicts and monitor drift from production
Own change management controls and audit evidence for internal audit, external auditors, and bank client reviews
Lead post-release verification
Publish release notes
Report on deployment frequency, change failure rate, and rollback rate
Work with engineering and DevOps to improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
Build and mature the release management process while operating it hands-on

Requirements

What you’ll need

5 to 7 years in release management, change management, DevOps, or a related role
3+ years in an engineering-adjacent function
Experience establishing or maturing a release and CAB process, not only following one
Working knowledge of Jira and GitHub Actions or comparable CI/CD tooling
Experience in a regulated or audited environment (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, or similar)
Strong communication skills and ability to enforce process while partnering pragmatically with engineering
Availability during US hours, with occasional deployments in India hours
Standard shift during US business hours (Eastern or Central preferred for bank client coverage)
Nice to have: Multi-region or global deployment experience
Nice to have: Fintech, payments, or banking technology background
Nice to have: ITIL or equivalent framework familiarity
