HL7 v2 Interface Analyst

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate and monitor HL7 v2.4 interfaces, including Z-segments, over MLLP and HTTP-wrapped transports
- Baseline and maintain interface control documents for every connected partner
- Triage message failures, acknowledgment problems, and partner-side changes through resolution
- Support shadow comparison and cutover testing as interfaces migrate to FHIR
- Hold privileged production access under the program's security rules
- Support a Defense Health Agency program involving migration of legacy HL7 v2 interfaces to FHIR R4
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5 or more years operating HL7 v2 interfaces in a production healthcare environment
- Production experience with an interface engine such as Rhapsody, Mirth, or equivalent
- Experience writing or maintaining interface control documents
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain the Tier 3 investigation and IT-II designation required for the privileged role
- Active Secret clearance or Secret eligibility preferred
- FHIR R4 exposure preferred
- DoD or VA health IT experience preferred
- 24x7 operations or on-call experience preferred
