About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, test, and operate core APIs for secure customer payments
Build services for deferred payment options and other payment products
Interface directly with merchant systems
Ensure products comply with demanding fintech industry standards
Create highly scalable solutions and own the entire application lifecycle
Design technical solutions within the team's architecture
Implement, test, and operate services in the production environment
Apply continuous integration, code quality, code reviews, and test-driven development
Select technologies and tools to deliver and operate large-scale AWS cloud applications based on microservices architecture
Share knowledge with colleagues and help develop their technical skills

Requirements

What you’ll need

A degree in computer science or a related field, or experience as an IT Specialist
Interest in building and operating production services
Ability to actively learn new technologies and practices
Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with peers within and beyond the team
Great communication skills and ability to support technical decision-making with the team
Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical and pragmatic attitude
Ideally, familiarity with the Java ecosystem and frameworks, such as Spring Boot
Familiarity with microservice architecture, REST services, and asynchronous distributed systems
Ideally, prior experience building and operating production services, preferably in e-commerce or payments
