About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and implement GenAI solutions for clients, including agent frameworks, RAG architectures, fine-tuned models and production LLM tooling
  • Help clients manage AI-system risks by writing AI risk policy, validating LLM-based systems and translating AI Act, Wwft and model-risk requirements into practical guidance
  • Shape client strategy for GenAI deployment by assessing model landscapes, defining implementation roadmaps and recommending production-ready architectures
  • Own workstreams, plan work, maintain quality and timelines, and raise risks early
  • Balance concurrent engagements and adapt to changing client priorities
  • Work directly with client stakeholders, explain technical decisions and build trust
  • Build relationships with client teams and identify further opportunities for Zanders
  • Write, present and speak publicly about the discipline
  • Share knowledge internally and contribute to internal initiatives and team culture
  • At Manager level, lead engagements end to end, own client relationships and take accountability for commercial outcomes including origination
  • At Manager level, lead consultants, delegate, support development and safeguard healthy workloads
  • Deliver GenAI, LLM and AI-risk work for banks, insurers and financial institutions across Europe, with current demand strongest in financial economic crime

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Demonstrated hands-on delivery of LLM systems, including fine-tuning, RAG architectures, agent frameworks, prompt engineering or LLM evaluation
  • Strong programming skills in Python
  • Experience with cloud AI/ML infrastructure, particularly Azure and Databricks
  • Ability to explain technical decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in financial services or another regulated industry
  • Fluent English
  • Senior Consultant: three to six years of professional experience, including quantitative or AI/ML delivery, ideally in a client-facing setting
  • Manager: six to nine years of experience, including leading quantitative or AI projects end to end, owning the client relationship and contributing to business development
  • Familiarity with the AI Act, Wwft or model risk management frameworks
  • Experience in financial crime, including AML, fraud detection or transaction monitoring
  • Master's or PhD in a quantitative field such as mathematics, physics, computer science, econometrics or engineering is valuable but not required
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Dutch is optional
  • High moral standards
  • Successful completion of third-party Pre-Employment Screening (PES)
