About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work independently and collaboratively with IT engineers to identify and test enhancements and resolve technical issues
Take prototypes through User Acceptance Testing into air-gapped customer enclaves
Perform software integration, systems analysis, requirements gathering, scripting, testing, and documentation
Engage in customer requirements sessions and UAT; track feedback and deliver fixes
Use source control to safeguard changes and apply software updates
Design, develop, and maintain document ingestion, normalization, segmentation, classification-marking extraction, similarity-scoring, and search-indexing tools with document-level access control
Develop and maintain content conversion and user/group mapping tools with permission-preserving migration
Validate migrations end to end and at scale
Design and implement scalable multi-network deployments using DevSecOps practices
Package and deploy applications with Helm and Kubernetes
Deliver container images through Podman air-gap delivery, including offline dependency closures, hardened base images, SBOMs, image signing, and CVE remediation
Document infrastructure creation, management, and decommissioning procedures
Maintain security for classified-data tools, including fail-closed access control, mTLS and PKI-based identity, tamper-evident audit logging, and test suites
Collaborate across the organization on company contracts and projects
Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of experience performing similar or related work required
Four years of experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
Two years of experience may be substituted for a degree
Top Secret SCI clearance required
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration, including networking, using Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes
Experience delivering software into air-gapped or disconnected environments
Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript on Node.js and Java with Maven
Shell scripting
Experience with DOCX, XLSX, PDF, XML, JSON, regular expressions, and repairing malformed input
Experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, including index provisioning and role-based or document-level security
Linux system administration knowledge
Ability to work 9–5 PM EST Monday–Friday
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Professional manner and strong ethical code
Exceptional time management and ability to multitask
Preferred: Atlassian Confluence Data Center plugins, MediaWiki administration/extending, classification marking standards, OCR/document layout analysis, PKI/mTLS/step-ca/Keycloak/OAuth2 proxies, application profiling and tuning at scale, Python, and PowerShell
