About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Shape and continuously improve the quality engineering strategy for the Backoffice application
Design and build automated test infrastructure across unit, integration, API and end-to-end levels
Develop reusable test fixtures, test-data seeding, environment tooling, harnesses and abstractions
Build automated feedback loops and validation mechanisms for safer AI-assisted development
Design regression coverage for critical workflows, complex permissions and financially, operationally or compliance-sensitive scenarios
Strengthen CI quality gates and improve test execution
Investigate defects, flaky tests and systemic quality issues
Triage bug reports with internal users and reproduce issues
Champion quality across the team and identify usability issues and edge cases
Foster knowledge sharing with the wider QA community
Collaborate with engineers, Product, UX and backend teams to identify risks, improve testability and build quality into development

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong software engineering skills and experience in quality engineering, test automation, SDET or a comparable engineering-focused role
Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript or JavaScript
Ability to contribute production-quality code directly to a modern web application
Experience designing and building test frameworks, tooling, harnesses, fixtures and automation infrastructure
Strong experience with Playwright, Cypress or a similar modern end-to-end testing framework
Good understanding of APIs, distributed systems, CI/CD pipelines and applications integrating with multiple backend services
