About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a product-focused engineering team building and evolving core B2B platform capabilities for internal business customers
- Hire, build, and lead a team of two engineers
- Evaluate and introduce a fraud detection and prevention platform
- Define and drive architectural decisions with the team
- Regularly write code, contribute to features, and solve complex technical challenges
- Champion effective use of AI in engineering workflows and explore AI applications within platform capabilities
- Partner with Product Management and internal businesses on product and technology strategy
- Deliver secure, robust, and maintainable technical solutions
- Collaborate with other teams to align APIs, technical interfaces, and architectural consistency
- Own and operate the domain and the team’s microservices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven people leadership skills with an empowering style
- Strong, up-to-date hands-on experience with Kotlin/Spring Boot
- Strong, up-to-date hands-on experience with Mongo/PostgresDB
- Experience deploying, monitoring, and maintaining microservices on Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of REST APIs
- Experience with event-driven processing pipelines built on Kafka
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Ability to align diverse stakeholders
- Strong engineering fundamentals in secure, scalable, and reliable systems
- Knowledge of security-by-design, resilience patterns, and operating production systems at scale
- Experience with agentic AI development practices and operating models
