Key responsibilities & impact

Own technical pre-sales end to end, including discovery, scope alignment, gap analysis and solution design through signed deal and delivery handover
Architect payments solutions across Zepto's API and product suite, including payment initiation, PayTo/PayID, direct debit, disbursements, reconciliation and webhooks
Run technical workshops and demos for technical and non-technical stakeholders
Own technical content of RFPs, RFIs and tenders
Act as technical voice in the sales cycle, addressing questions on APIs, integration patterns, compliance and security
Build sandbox integrations and test API flows to validate feasibility
Feed merchant requirements and competitive gaps back into the product roadmap
Support technical delivery handover and successful customer go-live
Collaborate across engineering, product, sales, commercial and customer success teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years' experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering or solution architecture
Strong, demonstrable payments experience, including payment rails, gateways, settlement and reconciliation
Ideally exposure to the Australian payments landscape (NPP, PayTo, PayID, BECS, card schemes) or equivalent overseas
Comfort reading API documentation, constructing and debugging REST calls, interpreting JSON, and reasoning through webhook and event-driven patterns
Track record in technical pre-sales, including discovery, integration scoping, presentations to technical and executive audiences, and responding to tenders
Tertiary qualification in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience built through 3+ years hands-on with code, APIs or technical systems
Strong project management skills
Ability to work autonomously and comfortably with ambiguity
