About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own end-to-end quality verification and validation for complex systems from design through production
- Help evolve verification and validation standards as the engineering model matures
- Partner with engineers, designers, product managers, and stakeholders to build quality into products
- Apply verification and validation across testing activities
- Design and execute comprehensive test strategies focused on edge cases, failure modes, and real-world scenarios
- Build and maintain scalable backend/API and frontend/UI automation frameworks
- Identify gaps in test coverage and system behavior
- Drive root cause analysis and defect- and incident-prevention strategies
- Use AI-assisted tools to improve test design, debugging, and technical problem-solving
- Apply verification and validation rigor to AI- and agent-produced work
- Explore AI capabilities to improve quality engineering workflows and release confidence
- Improve test efficiency, reliability, and execution speed
- Mentor team members and elevate quality standards across the team
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of experience in quality engineering, QA automation, or SDET roles
- Proven track record of owning quality for complex, production systems
- Strong ability to identify edge cases, failure scenarios, and subtle bugs
- Deep understanding of unit, integration, E2E, contract, and regression testing strategies
- Strong programming skills, preferably TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar
- Experience building backend/API and frontend/UI automation frameworks
- Experience with BrowserStack, Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Appium
- Experience with CI/CD integration and test pipelines
- Familiarity with mocking, stubbing, and test data management
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Ability to understand system architecture and identify risk areas
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools across testing, debugging, and technical problem-solving
- Ability to evaluate and apply emerging AI capabilities while ensuring quality, security, and maintainability
- Experience mentoring other engineers and raising quality standards
- Experience with performance testing, BDD frameworks, or microservices architectures is a plus
- Experience working in high-scale or fintech environments is a plus
