About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Understand current architecture and data to improve matching results and provide a best-in-class match experience
- Extend and adapt architecture for customer matching needs and infrastructure contexts
- Build entity resolution and matching services powering multiple applications and millions of users across billions of documents
- Drive software solution architecture and design for scalability, performance, and reliability
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders on the long-term roadmap for match algorithms
- Implement low-latency, relevant solutions using large-scale data systems and/or machine learning
- Monitor emerging technologies, trends, and best practices and recommend approaches for complex technical challenges
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field is required; Masters preferred
- 6+ years of software development experience, focused on large-scale backend services for customer-facing applications
- Substantial experience with Java 8+ and frameworks such as Spring
- Experience building data infrastructures in a cloud-native environment using GCP or AWS
- Strong expertise designing, developing, and maintaining complex distributed systems in a large-scale production environment
- In-depth understanding of Elasticsearch, Solr, or the underlying Lucene framework
- Ability to independently drive features from conception to completion
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Track record of delivering high-quality SaaS solutions
