About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, build and maintain dashboards using Tableau or similar BI tools
- Use SQL to explore data, build structured datasets and deliver repeatable analysis
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business problems and develop practical analytical solutions
- Define, document and maintain clear, trusted metrics
- Deliver recurring MI and self-serve reporting supporting operational and risk decision-making
- Work with Analytics Engineering to design and improve core data models, including modernising stored-procedure logic into maintainable transformations
- Improve data quality, reporting standards and analytics-product usability
- Support performance monitoring across operational or risk-focused domains
- Build trusted data pipelines, semantic layers and self-serve reporting
- Support Collections & Recoveries or Fraud & Financial Crime teams according to experience, interests and business need
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in a BI, analytics or reporting role
- Track record of creating reliable production datasets, scalable reporting and self-serve insight
- Strong SQL skills and confidence working with large, complex datasets
- Experience with a BI tool such as Tableau, Looker or Power BI
- Experience with data modelling or dbt, including building robust pipelines and maintaining clear documentation
- Strong analytical judgement, attention to detail and focus on data accuracy
- Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into practical data products
- Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to communicate clearly, constructively challenge and explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Organised, curious approach to problem solving and managing priorities
- Python experience would be beneficial but is not essential
- For Collections & Recoveries: experience analysing credit, operational or customer performance metrics would be useful
- For Fraud & Financial Crime: interest in fraud prevention or financial crime risk would be valuable; experience in financial services, risk, fraud or financial crime is helpful but not essential
