About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and develop innovative mechanical components and assemblies
  • Create 3D-printed prototypes to support iterative design and testing
  • Direct and coordinate manufacturing and field installation or retrofit activities
  • Analyze technical issues and implement timely, cost-effective solutions
  • Generate engineering documents, including drawings, manuals, and other technical deliverables
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams
  • Interface directly with customers and suppliers to define mechanical requirements
  • Support time-sensitive development initiatives alongside systems and development engineering teams
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives for process, quality, and cost improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 8+ years of professional experience in mechanical and structural design
  • Familiarity with materials including metals, alloys, and plastics
  • Experience designing for high-volume manufacturing, including stamping, injection molding, sheet metal, and die-cutting
  • Proficiency with Creo is highly preferred; experience with other 3D CAD systems will be considered
  • Skilled in DFM, DFA, and statistical tolerance analysis
  • Experience with structural FEA, such as Creo Simulate, is a plus
  • Knowledge of the computer hardware industry is desirable
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and adaptability skills
  • Certain positions may require U.S. citizenship or nationality, U.S. lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility to obtain an export control license or license exception
