About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Gather and analyze relevant facts to determine liability using applicable procedures
- Analyze applicable coverage for claims and determine whether losses fall within policy coverage
- Participate in Risk Management Agency-initiated reviews and referrals for operational integrity and quality assurance
- Keep claims information confidential to protect Zurich’s reputation
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through educational opportunities, industry trends, personal networks, and professional societies
- Work with RCIS agents to support crop insurance protection for farmers and ranchers
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more months of experience in the agricultural area for Claims Crop Field Adjuster I
- Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained with 180 days of hire date
- Reliable personal transportation and travel within territory
- Ability to walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles
- Ability to climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet
- Ability to lift 25 lbs to 50 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures/weather conditions
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Strong organization, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Employment sponsorship is not offered
- Alternatively, High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the agricultural or crop insurance industry for Crop Claims Specialist
- Personal transportation and travel within assigned territory and outside assigned area as needed for Crop Claims Specialist
