About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Determine liability by gathering and analyzing relevant facts using applicable procedures
- Determine policy verification and coverage by analyzing applicable claim coverage
- Determine whether losses fall within coverage
- Participate in Risk Management Agency-initiated reviews and referrals for operational integrity and quality assurance
- Protect Zurich’s reputation by keeping claims information confidential
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through educational opportunities, industry trends, personal networks, and professional societies
- Travel within the assigned territory and outside it as needed
- Participate on CAT teams and/or provide remote assistance for CROP Claims Care Center calls and CCP Claims
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more months of experience in the agricultural area for Crop Claims Field Adjuster I
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the agricultural or the crop insurance industry for Crop Claims Specialist
- Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained within 180 days of hire date
- Reliable personal transportation and travel within territory
- Personal transportation and travel within assigned territory and outside assigned area as needed
- Participation in CAT team and/or providing remote assistance for CROP Claims Care Center calls and/or CCP Claims
- Ability to walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles
- Ability to climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet
- Ability to lift 25 lbs to 50 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures/weather conditions
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Strong organization, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Must live within 50 miles of the specified counties/locations
