About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain and further develop the investment data warehouse in an SQL Server environment
Monitor daily data pipelines in Azure Data Factory and other solutions
Ensure high data quality using automated frameworks, established checks and dashboards
Investigate discrepancies and escalate or solve them systematically
Perform data reconciliation
Resolve operational issues and questions, including query optimization, missing data and consistency checks
Interact with users to understand requirements and improve their data user experience
Maintain technical documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need

2–3 years working in data operations, BI support or data warehouse administration
Experience in a production environment
Monitoring daily data loads and interfaces
Handling incidents and service requests
Coordinating with users and other team members
Experience in the financial services industry or an industry with similar requirements
Good understanding of investment data, including securities, issuers and indices
Understanding of portfolios, holdings and company hierarchies
Strong practical SQL skills for data validation, query optimization, performance tuning and issue resolution
Familiarity with SQL Server environments and data warehouse concepts
Working knowledge of Azure Data Factory and/or Databricks
Working knowledge of cloud data platforms, such as Databricks or Microsoft Fabric
Hands-on Python scripting skills for automation and operational tasks
Working knowledge of Power BI, including semantic models, data validation and dashboards
