About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the development, testing and maintenance of technology-enabled solutions that automate and improve Finance processes
Support integrations with Finance Data platforms
Prepare, review and test code and solutions for accuracy, consistency and adherence to agreed standards
Collaborate with Finance teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into practical, data-driven solutions
Prepare process documentation and user guidance, including data definitions, lineage and ownership
Identify opportunities to enhance Finance processes and data usage
Contribute to continuous improvement within the Finance Transformation Team

Requirements

What you’ll need

1–3 years’ experience in a relevant finance, data or analytics role
A third level qualification with strong financial or data analytics content
Experience programming in Python, including writing, testing and maintaining code
Experience working with SQL Server databases, including writing queries, designing, setting up and maintaining tables
Solid understanding of relational database models
Strong numeracy and attention to detail
Confidence working with financial datasets and large data volumes
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic
Ability to take ownership of tasks and work autonomously when required
Ability to build relationships and work on own initiative
Relevant financial services experience is an advantage
