About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as an IFRS 17 methodology expert, translating actuarial requirements into practical business and system solutions
  • Own end-to-end delivery of actuarial development initiatives, ensuring quality and timely execution
  • Drive resolution of actuarial reporting and implementation challenges across multiple Zurich entities
  • Lead collaboration across Actuarial, IT, and other teams to deliver and enhance actuarial tools and reporting capabilities
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions
  • Manage stakeholder expectations
  • Resolve conflicting priorities to achieve effective outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5-6 years of experience in life actuarial, financial reporting, or related functions
  • Good understanding of IFRS 17 life methodology and experience supporting its application in reporting and business processes
  • Experience with actuarial modeling systems (Prophet, RiskAgility, MG-ALFA)
  • Programming or data tools such as Python and SQL are an advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of deliverables and independently drive tasks to completion
  • Strong analytical, data management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify issues and propose practical solutions
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work effectively across actuarial, finance, and IT teams
  • Ability to explain complex actuarial concepts and results clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
