About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Adapt Zurich’s innovative solutions to the construction industry to minimize customer losses and improve sustainability and business resiliency
- Leverage Zurich’s risk engineering tools and services for customers purchasing Construction Insurance products, including Workers Compensation, General Liability, and Auto Liability
- Deliver construction consultative services, identify exposures and risk control gaps, and develop risk mitigation recommendations
- Investigate the causes and effects of major losses for hazard and safety management programs
- Develop and maintain positive customer and business partner relationships and collaborate on service plans
- Market and sell fee services supporting customer risk mitigation efforts
- Produce advanced presentations and deliver risk management training
- Provide risk improvement advice, conduct loss investigations including trend and root cause analysis, and implement risk improvement programs
- Assist with corporate and project-specific QA/QC plans and safety plans
- Investigate construction defects, conduct building envelope reviews, and identify moisture mitigation needs
- Participate in sales team meetings and presentations to brokers and customers
- Contribute to fee income sales through opportunity spotting and cross-selling
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree and 6 or more years of experience in Construction Risk Engineering, Safety/Risk Management, or Construction Field Operations; OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in those fields
- Experience working in a team environment
- Final candidates must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background check
- Remote in the Central Georgia area, with preference for the Atlanta metro area; candidates around this region must be willing to travel the state of Georgia
- Willingness to travel 30% to 50% of the time depending on business needs
- Preferred: Construction Safety/Risk experience with Project Management and/or Superintendent experience
- Preferred: Regulated and Non-Regulated Fleet Experience
- Preferred: Data Center construction experience
- Preferred: Large commercial construction experience with industrial, medical, and educational projects
- Preferred: Advanced knowledge of construction safety, operations, quality management, and associated construction risks and exposures
- Preferred: Professional certifications such as CRIS, ARM, CHST, CSP, ASP, or P.E.
- Preferred: High computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office and IOS platforms
- Preferred: Technical writing proficiency
- Preferred: Experience working in both independent and team environments
- Preferred: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and consulting skills
