• Own technical SEO for a large-scale marketplace, including crawl budget, indexation, canonicalisation, pagination, faceted navigation, internal linking, sitemaps, Core Web Vitals, and JavaScript rendering.
• Diagnose and resolve index bloat by determining which page types should be indexed and enforcing decisions through robots directives, canonical strategy, and sitemap hygiene.
• Define URL handling for stores or products that disappear to prevent equity loss when merchants leave.
• Partner with Engineering on an SEO backlog using clear specifications, acceptance criteria, and measured post-release impact.
• Design and grow durable category, collection, brand, city, intent, and comparison pages.
• Own the organic content roadmap, including Arabic-first keyword and intent research, briefs, publishing cadence, and refresh cycles.
• Optimise store and product templates, including titles, meta data, headings, structured data, on-page copy, and merchandising signals.
• Build internal linking as a scalable system.
• Define and execute Mahally’s strategy for generative and answer engines, including crawler access policy, structured data, entity clarity, citable content, and brand presence in AI answers.
• Decide which AI crawlers to allow and justify the trade-off between control and visibility.
• Track and report Mahally’s appearance in AI answers for commercial Saudi queries and close visibility gaps.
• Own Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs/Semrush, and log-file analysis.
• Build reporting connecting organic performance to sessions, orders, and GMV.
• Set up rank, indexation, and coverage monitoring with alerts.
• Run structured tests on page templates and title/meta patterns and report causal findings where possible.
• Brief and influence Engineering, Product, and Content teams without owning their roadmaps.
• Guide merchants on content and imagery that improve ranking and conversion.
• Present organic performance, risks, and opportunities to leadership with a clear point of view and ask.
• Help build a scalable organic acquisition engine that increases qualified discovery, durable search surfaces, and visibility across traditional and AI-powered search.
