• Lead integration and assembly of electronic, mechanical and opto-mechanical assemblies on the subcontractor line
• Supervise build quality and adherence to quality and safety procedures, including ESD; escalate deviations
• Identify difficulties and bottlenecks on subcontractor lines and drive solutions that improve speed and quality
• Run functional tests and support environmental and vibration tests
• Find and fix faults in complex systems, down to component level on electronic boards
• Receive parts against purchase orders, kit per work order and run inventory counts
• Record serial numbers, component-to-serial links, unit status and shipments in the ERP (Priority)
• Flag shortages and material risks to Supply Chain
• Write clear, photo-based assembly instructions for every stage
• Keep work instructions up to date with engineering changes and system versions
• Build a library of known faults and repair methods
• Map assembly times and identify complex or repetitive steps
• Develop work methods, jigs and aids that shorten assembly time and prevent errors
• Evaluate pre-assembly of sub-assemblies, better sequences and simpler processes
• Propose changes to design, sub-assembly split and assembly methods that reduce production cost
• Define in-process checkpoints at key assembly stages, for approval by Quality Control as part of the control plan
