About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver front-line technical and concierge support within the Kenmore Data Centre
- Greet and host customers, vendors, and visitors
- Validate credentials and manage visitor and contractor entry
- Arrange escorts and follow badge, sign-in, and access-control procedures
- Receive and dispatch equipment
- Provide basic racking/stacking support, cable moves, and other hands-on tasks under guidance
- Monitor room conditions, cleanliness, alarms, and incidents
- Escalate issues to Data Centre Facilities and Engineering teams
- Schedule maintenance windows, customer visits, and hands-on support activities
- Ensure access approvals, equipment readiness, and change tickets are in place
- Update records and ticketing systems with accurate site activity and work notes
- Support audit trails, asset tracking, and infrastructure lifecycle management
- Collaborate with Cloud Operations, Network, and Facilities teams on implementation, lifecycle management, and troubleshooting
- Follow safety, compliance, quality, lock-out/tag-out, incident-reporting, and hazard-reporting procedures
- Handle company data and information according to agreements, procedures, and policies
- Review and follow company policies, guidelines, and data privacy practices
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically 2+ years’ experience in a customer-facing operations, facilities, or technical support role
- Experience in a data centre, colocation, telco, or other mission-critical environment strongly preferred
- High school certificate or equivalent required
- Additional technical training, such as Certificate III/IV in IT, networking, or data centre operations, preferred
- Familiarity with basic rack/stack activities, patching, equipment handling, cross-connect runs, cable tracing, and labelling preferred
- Understanding of critical infrastructure systems, including power, cooling, and fire suppression, preferred
- Understanding of data centre operations technologies, including DCIM, monitoring, and access control, preferred
- Comfort using ticketing and workflow tools, email, spreadsheets, and collaboration platforms required
- Basic understanding of physical security, access control, and HSE expectations required
- Strong customer service and communication skills required
- Dependability, attention to detail, and ownership of tasks required
- Ability to follow procedures and work instructions in a regulated, safety-conscious environment required
- Ability to work effectively on a rostered team, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Must be legally eligible to work in Australia without visa sponsorship
