About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead QA strategy, processes, and team to build and scale a world-class QA organization
Define and execute functional, regression, performance, and security testing across web, mobile, API, and biometric components
Establish and enforce quality standards, test plans, and best practices across projects
Ensure requirements are testable and aligned with customer expectations
Design, build, and scale automated test platforms using Selenium, Node.js, scripting, and JMeter
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and reduce manual testing on high-risk paths
Own manual testing decisions and determine what should be automated
Lead, mentor, recruit, and manage the distributed QA team
Partner with Customer Success, engineering, product management, operations, and leadership
Serve as the voice of quality in release readiness reviews
Own the release quality gate
Define KPIs and report on defect density, escape rates, test coverage, automation velocity, release stability, and on-time delivery
Audit the QA stack, automation coverage, and release process
Establish trusted KPIs and quality processes within the first 90 days

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of software QA experience, including at least 5+ years of hands-on QA leadership at the Head of QA or Director level in high-growth B2B SaaS or cybersecurity
Proven record of building and scaling QA teams in fast-paced environments
Deep technical credibility across QA methodologies, test automation frameworks, and performance testing, spanning automation and manual testing
Domain fluency in identity verification and authentication
Experience with Selenium, scripting languages, Node.js, JMeter, CI/CD pipelines, and API integrations in cloud-based architectures (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Ability to write code when required
Daily use of AI copilots for writing tests, generating test cases, and accelerating QA work
Hands-on experience building with AI and agentic systems as part of the QA function
Strong analytical instincts and communication skills
Experience in SaaS or enterprise software environments, ideally cybersecurity or identity
Background in AI/ML product QA or identity verification software testing
Experience managing offshore or distributed QA teams
Familiarity with security testing and regulatory compliance requirements
Depth in performance, load, and scalability testing tools
