About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and mentor a mid-sized engineering team while remaining hands-on in code, system design, and infrastructure
Take ownership of existing architectures and understand design decisions before introducing changes
Build and optimize agentic systems using AWS Bedrock, Python, and Node
Drive low latency, high throughput, platform resilience, and enterprise security across cloud-agnostic microservices
Partner with product and QA leads to ensure clean, reliable, zero-downtime deployments
Foster a collaborative, ownership-driven engineering culture
Report to the SVP of Engineering and Chief Architect

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of software engineering experience with recent, hands-on engineering leadership (Director / VP level in high-growth B2B SaaS)
Deep, practical experience in Node.js alongside Java or GoLang
Hands-on mastery of containerized, cloud-agnostic environments (Kubernetes, AWS)
Demonstrated experience building and operationalizing autonomous agents and agentic workflows
Experience with AWS Bedrock is a huge plus
Deep appreciation for platform security, identity management, compliance, and secure software development practices
Proven track record of building 0-to-1 systems and taking ownership of mature, inherited codebases
Ability to manage, mentor, and elevate a mid-sized engineering team
Ability to collaborate with product and QA leads
Ability to influence without authority and build strong cross-functional relationships
