Key responsibilities & impact

Ship features and fixes in the 1Password CLI, written in Go and Rust
Measure and improve CLI and SDK performance using benchmarks and usage data
Write design documents, obtain senior engineer feedback, and carry work through code review, testing, and release
Learn and apply secure authentication flows such as OAuth
Handle secrets safely
Use AI coding tools with judgment, reviewing and verifying generated code
Own every line submitted
Collaborate in a fast-paced, remote-first developer tools and security environment

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be currently enrolled at an educational institution (college, university, or bootcamp)
Must live in and be legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada
No work authorization, relocation assistance, sponsorship, or visa transfer is offered
Confidence: willingness to take on new challenges and see them through to completion
Humility: willingness to ask questions and learn from mistakes
Curiosity: interest in finding better ways of doing things
Teamwork
Bonus: experience with Go or Rust
Bonus: built a CLI, library, or API used by others
Bonus: familiarity with OAuth 2.0 or other authentication flows
