About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop content plans, themes, and series for assigned client accounts
- Translate client objectives, brand voice, and audience insights into shoot concepts, shot lists, scripts, and hooks
- Contribute to editorial calendars and maintain a pipeline of captured and edited content
- Identify content opportunities from client operations
- Review content performance data and recommend new formats and improvements
- Use AI tools for research, ideation, scripting, and trend analysis
- Travel to client locations throughout Illinois and the Midwest for scheduled content capture sessions
- Capture high-quality photo and video content using professional and mobile equipment
- Direct on-camera talent and capture B-roll, process documentation, transformations, culture moments, and testimonials
- Adapt shooting approaches across industries and maximize output during on-site sessions
- Edit content into platform-optimized posts using CapCut, Canva, Adobe tools, and other applications
- Create content in multiple formats and aspect ratios for social platforms
- Apply AI-powered captioning, scene detection, color correction, audio enhancement, background removal, and other creative enhancements
- Add text overlays, graphics, transitions, music, and effects aligned with trends and brand guidelines
- Maintain brand consistency and organize raw and edited assets
- Stay current on platform trends across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Create native, platform-specific content and optimize it for organic reach and social search
- Test and iterate on content styles based on performance data and platform changes
- Source, vet, and conduct outreach to creator and influencer partners
- Maintain a creator database and support creator campaigns, briefs, deliverables, approvals, and usage rights
- Ensure creator content follows FTC disclosure guidelines and industry compliance requirements
- Track and report creator content performance
- Participate in pre-production planning calls and provide creative input
- Accept feedback, make revisions, protect confidentiality and privacy, and meet deadlines
- Represent 321 professionally during shoots and outreach
- Report to the Director of Social Media & Content and collaborate with Social Media Managers, Creative, and Client Success
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience in content creation, social media production, or video production
- Experience contributing to content strategy, including concept development, scripting, and content planning
- Strong portfolio demonstrating social media content across multiple platforms, industries, and formats
- Expertise in mobile and professional content capture using smartphones, DSLRs, or mirrorless cameras
- Strong understanding of lighting, composition, and audio
- Advanced proficiency with CapCut, Canva, and other editing tools
- Experience using AI-powered tools for scripting, editing, captioning, generative fill, object removal, audio cleanup, and visual effects
- Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Experience sourcing, vetting, or working with creators and influencers
- Familiarity with FTC endorsement and disclosure guidelines
- Ability to direct on-camera talent and create comfortable, authentic performances
- Strong technical understanding of video formats, aspect ratios, frame rates, resolution, and export settings
- Experience creating content for home services, professional services, real estate, or healthcare is highly valued
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client projects, deadlines, and revision requests
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Illinois and the Midwest
- Flexibility for occasional weekend or evening shoots
- Self-motivated and able to problem-solve on location without hands-on supervision
- Attention to detail ensuring technical quality, brand consistency, and error-free deliverables
- Bonus: Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or other professional editing software
- Bonus: Drone operation experience and FAA Part 107 certification
- Bonus: Experience with influencer discovery or management platforms
- Candidates must be based in the Chicagoland area or in Central or South Florida
