About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the executive technology voice, technology champion, and trusted executive advisor for 3Cloud’s Enterprise Advisory & Solution Architecture practice
- Build peer-level relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and transformation leaders
- Shape market narrative through industry presence and analyst engagement
- Translate technology direction into business outcomes executives can fund and govern
- Set technology vision and multi-year transformation strategies across strategic accounts
- Frame technology decisions in terms of options, tradeoffs, enterprise risk, and expected value
- Champion technical debt elimination and modernization
- Connect technology investment to measurable enterprise value, adoption requirements, operating model implications, and governance
- Represent 3Cloud at client forums, executive briefings, conferences, partner events, and analyst sessions
- Publish points of view, briefings, and narratives
- Engage analysts, sourcing advisors, consulting firms, and ecosystem partners
- Cultivate senior relationships with Microsoft field teams, ISVs, platform partners, and the broader technology ecosystem
- Drive partner-influenced pipeline and co-sell success
- Translate partner roadmaps and platform direction into client options and offering decisions
- Position Microsoft technologies within heterogeneous enterprise environments
- Set technical direction and quality standards; build capability through coaching and communities of practice
- Lead outcomes across pursuit, delivery, and partner teams through matrix influence
- Shape the portfolio across Applications, Cloud Platforms, and Data & AI
- Sponsor reference architectures, solution playbooks, accelerators, and guardrails
- Champion priority pursuits and lead solution defense
- Create executive-level demand and expand technology initiatives into broader transformation opportunities
- Track emerging technology and industry shifts, including AI capabilities
- Translate innovation into client recommendations, pilots, and phased adoption paths
- Educate sales, pursuit, and delivery teams on technology trends and capabilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience as a Field CTO, Principal CTO, Chief Architect, Distinguished Architect, or equivalent external-facing technology leader for an enterprise modernization, cloud, AI, or technology transformation practice
- Executive-level technology leadership experience advising and/or directly leading complex enterprise technology organizations, including significant C-suite interaction and peer-level relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and transformation leaders at Fortune 500 or comparable enterprises
- Demonstrated industry voice through keynotes, published points of view, briefings, podcasts, analyst engagement, or other recognized external forums
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure architecture, including enterprise-scale adoption, governance, security, integration, and modernization
- Experience setting technology direction across Applications, Cloud Platforms, and Data & AI, including operating model and governance implications
- Executive-level understanding of enterprise AI strategy, including generative AI, agentic systems, data foundations, governance, security, and responsible adoption
- Ability to advise executives on integrating Microsoft technologies with non-Microsoft cloud, data, AI, SaaS, and enterprise platforms
- Strong executive communication skills translating technology decisions into business impact, investment choices, constraints, and risk
- Strong business and financial acumen connecting technology strategy to investment, commercial outcomes, delivery economics, and measurable enterprise value
- Experience influencing large pursuits through credibility and solution strategy rather than pursuit mechanics
- Experience shaping offerings, accelerators, platforms, or reusable intellectual property
- Established senior relationships with hyperscaler and platform partners and ability to drive joint solutioning and co-sell
- Experience leading through matrix influence across account, engineering, security, delivery, practice, and partner stakeholders
- Experience developing, coaching, and mentoring senior architects or technology leaders
- Willingness to travel up to 25 percent as needed
- Maintain, or be willing to obtain and maintain, relevant professional certifications
- Preferred: experience with hybrid environments and AWS or Google Cloud
- Preferred: prior CTO, CIO, Chief Architect, Distinguished Architect, VP of Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Preferred: executive forums, steering committees, board-level settings, analyst briefings, or named industry events
- Preferred: complex, regulated, or distributed enterprise environments
- Preferred: global or multicultural organizations and complex matrixed structures
