About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and grow sales of 3M products to assigned airlines
  • Lead 3M strategy for engagement with assigned US-based airlines
  • Implement key account strategy to meet 3M and customer objectives
  • Determine growth strategy, sales approach and customer engagement plan
  • Support broad-based business group initiatives
  • Travel globally to support key accounts
  • Partner with Channel, Marketing, Application Engineering, and Sales Leadership to align priorities and improve execution
  • Comply with corporate policies, procedures, and security standards
  • Follow safety policies, identify hazards, and engage in continuous EHS improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, completed and verified prior to start
  • Eight (8) years of aerospace industry sales experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Three (3) years of experience managing sales directly to airlines
  • Current, valid Driver’s License
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status
  • Willingness to travel globally
  • Master’s degree at an accredited institution preferred
  • Ten (10) years of sales experience preferred
  • Negotiation skills
  • Strong influencing skills
  • CRM skills
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Substantial experience in aerospace sales
  • Strong understanding of long-cycle, specification-driven sales processes
