About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify regulatory product certification requirements for hearing protection and protective communications products
- Prepare, maintain and submit regulatory documentation for applicable product certification schemes
- Work with test labs, notified bodies and agencies to submit products, accelerate registration and arrange manufacturing site audits
- Collaborate with business portfolio leaders, application engineers, quality, manufacturing and cross-functional teams on regulatory/compliance input for new product projects
- Execute regulatory plans to enable product commercialization
- Engage with regulatory authorities, notified bodies and agencies on post-market follow-up activities or issues
- Identify and execute operational efficiency projects
- Perform routine regulatory tasks for new and existing products
- Monitor changes in applicable standards and regulations/directives
- Comply with corporate policies, procedures and security standards
- Contribute to 3M’s Environmental Health and Safety culture
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Five (5) years of regulatory experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Bachelor’s degree in an occupational health and safety, scientific, electronics or engineering discipline
- Experience in electrical safety, intrinsic safety, RF
- Knowledge of hearing protection standards
- Experience with PPE in a regulatory or related role
- Working experience in multinational companies
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build internal and external networks and communicate effectively
- Project management experience
- Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced environment with appropriate urgency
- English communication in speaking and writing
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without employment visa sponsorship
- Must provide education and work history
- May be subject to U.S. person/export-control assessment
