About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the strategic business partner/CFO to the Global Commercial business leader and key global leadership team members
- Plan and execute Global Commercial strategies
- Manage the three-year strategic financial plan from business, function, and resource prioritization viewpoints
- Drive execution of the Global Commercial business model, commercial success, and shareholder returns
- Improve profitability and cash, manage costs, create efficiencies, and mitigate risk
- Focus on marquee and key accounts across four verticals and global/area commercial operations
- Gather and analyze commercial excellence execution and progress
- Track and report ROI of global commercial marketing activities
- Participate in the global commercial operating committee and recommend topics and actions
- Translate strategic planning into operational plans
- Drive sustainable business process improvements and operational effectiveness
- Ensure a culture of compliance
- Support organic growth through analysis of vertical markets, customers, and competitors
- Enable best-practice sharing and common tools across geographies
- Implement common processes around commercial excellence, pricing, and standard margins
- Leverage AI tools to optimize standard work and data analytics
- Comply with corporate policies, procedures, and security standards
- Contribute to 3M’s Environmental Health and Safety culture
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or Accounting, completed and verified prior to start
- Fifteen (15) years of finance experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status
- Master's degree in Data Science or Statistics from an accredited institution
- Three (3) years of leadership experience, with Division, Area, or sizable country leadership experience
- Business acumen to connect theory and practice
- Significant experience in analytics projects/reports
- Ability to lead in a technical field with incomplete data
- Ability to teach and develop capabilities globally
- Strong financial acumen and ability to translate complex business problems into financial terms
- Experience influencing across the organization
- Understanding of multiple workstreams and their integration
- Strategic thinking and solid business knowledge
- Creative problem-solving skills inclusive of the use of AI tools
- Risk management analysis skills
- Self-starter with change-driving ability
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Demonstrated talent development ability
