About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead development and execution of the global portfolio strategy for Automotive Electronics Solutions
- Drive sustainable growth across E/E architectures, software-defined vehicles, connectivity, electrification, thermal management, and emerging automotive technologies
- Implement portfolio investment, innovation, and commercialization strategies
- Accelerate new product introductions and expand specification positions with global OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers
- Determine strategic priorities through market intelligence, competitive analysis, customer engagement, and technology trend assessment
- Develop customer-centric technology and product roadmaps
- Lead strategic partnerships and executive-level relationships with global automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and key industry stakeholders
- Collaborate with Sales, Application Engineering, R&D, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams
- Lead and develop a global team of Global Product Managers
- Ensure successful product launches, operational readiness, and growth and profitability objectives
- Comply with corporate policies, procedures, security standards, and safety policies
- Contribute to Environmental Health and Safety culture and continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Ten (10) years' combined years of experience in automotive electronics, electrical architecture, vehicle systems, or adjacent automotive technologies in a private, public, government or military environment
- Five (5) years of experience leading global or regional teams and influencing cross-functional organizations
- Five (5) years of experience developing and executing portfolio growth strategies, commercialization plans, and new product introductions
- Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status
- Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) with strong business, strategic, and financial acumen
- Experience managing complex, global business portfolios and making investment, lifecycle, and resource allocation decisions
- Executive-level engagement with automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and industry partners
- Proven ability to develop and execute long-term portfolio strategies and translate market trends into profitable growth opportunities
- Deep expertise in automotive electronics, including vehicle electrical/electronic (E/E) architectures, software-defined vehicles, connectivity, electrification, and emerging mobility technologies
- Demonstrated success influencing senior executives, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders in a complex global environment without direct authority
- Extensive experience partnering with global automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers
- Established track record of leading, developing, and coaching high-performing global teams
- Willingness to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Livonia, MI or Maplewood, MN
- Ability to travel up to 25% domestically/internationally
