About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the development and delivery of strategic performance and growth initiatives within the Industrial Specialties Division
  • Develop a basic understanding of product lines, customer segments, customer needs, competitive products, prices, and policies
  • Participate in training opportunities and gain exposure to senior leadership
  • Work on projects addressing challenges faced by 3M business units
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, target audiences, and competitive analysis
  • Support the planning, execution, and analysis of marketing campaigns
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from digital marketing channels
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports tracking KPIs
  • Provide insights and recommendations to optimize marketing strategies
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, product development, technical teams, supply chain, channel partners, and business leadership
  • Monitor and report marketing performance using Google Analytics, social media insights, and email marketing software
  • Perform administrative tasks including maintaining databases, preparing reports, and coordinating meetings
  • Comply with corporate policies, procedures, and security standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Experience in B2B marketing, product marketing, or portfolio management, especially in industrial, packaging, manufacturing, or distribution-focused businesses
  • Strong understanding of packaging applications and customer needs, including packaging productivity, bonding, sealing, protection, automation, sustainability, and channel dynamics
  • Commercial business acumen connecting portfolio decisions to revenue growth, margin improvement, share gain, and customer retention
  • Market research and competitive analysis skills
  • Data-driven decision-making ability, including analyzing sales performance, pipeline data, market share, pricing, profitability, and customer segmentation
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Project management capability
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, CRM platforms, Power BI/Tableau, market research tools, or other analytics/reporting systems
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status
